30 special trains for Diwali and Chhat Puja

KOLKATA, 7 OCT: Eastern Railway will run 30 special trains during Diwali and Chhat Puja to cater to the rush of passangers. The trains will run between 19 Octorber and 17 November. A total of 10 Specials will run between Kolkata and Gorakhpur, eight trains between Asansol and Allahabad and 12 others between Howrah and Patna.
The Howrah-Patna (03065 Up) weekly special will start from Howrah at 11.55 a.m. on Wednesdays from 12 October to 16 November and reach Patna at 10.00 a.m. on Thursdays. On return journey, the 03066 Dn will start from Patna at 11.00 a.m. on Thursdays during the period from 13 October to 17 November and arrive at Howrah at 9.25 p.m. on the same day. This train will have 21 coaches, including one AC 2-tier, two AC 3-tier, 14 sleeper class, two general second class and two general second class-cum-luggage vans.
The Kolkata-Gorakhpur (03135 Up) weekly special via Bandel will start from Howrah at 11.25 a.m. on Wednesdays from 19 October to 16 November and arrive at Gorakhpur at 7.00 a.m. on Thurdays. During the return journey, the 03136 Dn will start from Gorakhpur at 1.55 p.m. on Thursdays during the period from 20 October to 17 November and arrive at Kolkata at 12.25 p.m. on Fridays. The train will have 15 coaches, including two AC 3-tier, nine sleeper class, two general second class and two second class-cum-luggage vans.
The Asansol-Allahabad (03515 Up) weekly superfast special will start from Asansol at 7.45 p.m. on Fridays during the period from 21 October to 11 November and arrive at Allahabad at 8.20 a.m. on Saturdays. On return journey, the 03516 Dn will start from Allahabad at 9.45 a.m. from 22 October to 12 November and arrive at Asansol at 11.15 p.m. on the same day. This special train will consist of 19 coaches, including one composite coach comprising half AC 3-tier & half AC 2-tier, one complete AC 3-tier, nine sleeper class, six general second class, two second class-cum-luggage vans.
Booking for these special trains will open on Sunday, 9 October in all computerised Railway Reservation centres.
Suburban train services to be affectedDue to a blockade between Magrahat and Deula railway stations in the wee hours of 10 October, the 34865 Down Sealdah-Diamond Harbour local and the 34811 Up Diamond Harbour-Sealdah local will short terminate and short-originate from Baruipur, respectively.
