A limited number of unpaid editorial/marketing internships are available at The Statesman in Kolkata, New Delhi, Siliguri and Bhubaneswar,from time to time. Indian nationals aged between 18 and 28 may apply. Marketing internships are available, in addition to these centres, at Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai. Internships are allowed for a period of 3 months.

Internships for international journalism/communication students are also sometimes available. Such internships are allowed for 3 months as a rule, but may be extended at the discretion of the Editor. Applicants must bear their own costs on travel and food, but The Statesman may be in a position to provide furnished, studio accommodation to interns from overseas. Applicants must have excellent English language skills.
